It occurs to me... If you don't want people to leave LJ comments, you could just turn off the ability to leave comments in your journal, and people would then use your comment system if they wanted to comment?
Just an idea!

Actually, I can't. The posts from this blog into LJ is handled via an RSS feed. RSS feeds in LJ are not 'owned' by anyone, so the posts aren't owned, therefore I don't actually control the 'can or cannot' add comments function.
There's a ton of issues in Livejournal regarding RSS feeds, this is just one of them, alas. :(
