So... shiny... |
Geekitude |
So, 3 days I've had my iPhone now, and I tell ya, it's hard to put down. So hard I've had a hard time finding time to write to the blog about how much I'm enjoying it.
Here's a couple highlights of my first, realistically, 2.25 days with the phone. It's a black 16gig iPhone 3G, just to make sure everyone is on board.
In short. I love it. I've named it Speicus.
More kvelling later.

That's great! I'm glad to hear that you love it.

Muahaha! The iPhone is a gateway drug, you know. Before long, you'll be doing all your development work on a MacBook Pro running VMWare to virtualize what few Windows-only, non-POSIX-compliant apps you may have left. *cackle*

*jealous*
I just got a new Rumor, which has a full keyboard in it and all kinds of nifty gizmos. I like it and all, but it's no iPhone. NEXT phone I get, two years from now... THAT will be an iPhone. :)

Check this out, as it may eventually solve one of your concerns with the iPhone : http://feeds.wired.com/~r/wired/index/~3/370304033/Here_at_Last%3A_Copy-and-Paste_Capabilities_for_the_iPhone

Embracing and promoting a device that promotes user restrictions? That's it. You're off my RSS feed.

@Nabil:
Oh don't I know it. I'm already attracted to the OSX platform, but there's two major obstacles. The first is the price - I don't have the cash to fork over for a decent OSX setup right now. The second is that the Java environment for OSX is lagging a lot. The 1.6 JVM didn't come out until recently (a year after it was released for other platforms. There's been some known issues with Eclipse on the Mac, and that's my primary environment.
But I do see the shiny in the OSX environment, you don't have to pursuade me :)
