One of the clients I’ve been trying to land for Stonekeep just called me and said “the backer is really hot on using your system, can we change a few things and come up with a way to do this?” – and what they’re asking for is reasonable.
One more client. And not a free one. Schwing.

Okay, I give up.
I can’t get the LJ Crosspost plugin to work in Moveable Type, so I’m flat out giving up on it right now. Chip really isnt’ answering mail, and I don’t have time to dig into his code and find out what’s working and what isn’t.
Maybe when I have Time [tm] [reg us pat off] I’ll get a handle on how plugins in MT work, and be able to debug his code, but for now I’ll probably just manually crosspost things in as I see fit.
Aaaanyway, back to our regularly scheduled yammering.

Apparently I’ve managed to piss off just about everyone around me. Including my son and my wife. Is this the inevitable end to trying to balance work with home life? I alienate one or the other?
I need to find some balance. Somewhere.
Day OFF!
I. Have a day off. I’m off. Really. I don’t have a con to prep for. Zach’s in school. The house is quiet. I HAVE A DAY OFF! HAHAHAHAHHAH
Man do I need to catch up in mail. And unload the van. And get my office set up again. And set up a sniping tool. And gosh the office is messy, that should be cleaned too, and… oh dear.
Okay, so it’s a different kind of day off.

… i love codng. I love coding listening to music. I love coding listening to music VERY LOUD. And today it’s Pink Floyd, Dark Side of the Moon. Yeah, it’s very high school, but fuckit, I love it.
So, what am I doing here?
A Blog? Why a blog.
Well, i’ve been thinking. There’s a lot of times when I’d just sort of like to log and spout off what I’m working on, what I’m doing, things I see, things I’m thinking about. LiveJournal isn’t quite the right medium, and some discussion lists aren’t exactly it either.
I’ll try and keep things in categories, and folks can read or not read, ignore or contribute, criticize or support, I’m doing this mostly for myself, but I hope others will read and nod knowingly on occasion. It’s a glimpse into me day to day, whether interesting or no.
And now, the requisite post.
Of course, what’s the first post anyone puts on their blog? Something having to do with “Look, I have a blog.” Well, I do. so there, nyeah.
Hopefully I’ll even have content, but most likely it’ll be tinkered blatherings interspersed with “I haven’t updated this in a while, hopefully after [some life intensity] thing has passed I’ll do it.”
Anyway, we’ll see.
